Aim of the course:Designing and facilitating a constructively aligned course requires certain knowledge and skills to understand and meet students’ needs for a well-facilitated coherent learning experience to support effective learning. Mastering this competence gives the teacher greater confidence and greater satisfaction from teaching.
Target group:University and college teachers in Estonia
Junior, intermediate and senior teachers
Prerequisites:The teacher should have a course that he/she can (re)design.
Topics:Starting with a reflection on the basic principles of course design, an application phase will enable participants to relate these principles to their own philosophy of teaching and learning in higher education. The application will focus on an individual teaching project (e.g., design a new course or develop an existing course) and take into consideration on-going contextual changes (e.g., AI, teaching formats, inclusivity, transversal skills).
