Aim of the course:The aim of the training is to introduce the ETIS classification system and to scientific journal quality indicators in different databases to researchers and doctoral students

Prerequisites:The training provides a practical overview of the Eesti Teadusinfosüsteem (ETIS) classification system and scientific journal quality indicators across different databases. You will learn how to find and interpret journal quartiles in Scopus and Web of Science, and discover which publications are the most influential in your field according to Google Scholar
Topics:After completing the training, the participant is able to select the correct ETIS classification for a publication, has an overview of scientific journal quality indicators in different databases, and is able to choose appropriate scientific journals based on the university’s key research performance indicators
Study results:ETIS classifications and scientific journal quality indicators (including quartiles) in different databases, top publications in Google Scholar; and practical examples of how to find suitable scientific journals according to the university’s key research performance indicators
