| Aim of the course: | The aim of the course is to expand students’ core vocabulary of Estonian and increase their capability to cope in everyday communication situations. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Topics: | The basics of Estonian grammar. Phrases for everyday communication. Grammar - Revision of learnt cases (nominative, genitive, partitive, locative cases, comitative, abessive, nominative plural) - Translative and essive - Comparison of adjectives - Adverbs of time - Adverbs of place - Imperfect and perfect - Conditional mood - Ordinal numbers Situations - Describing situations and people - Working life - Daily schedule - Hobbies - Municipal and commercial services - Living environment | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Study results: | The student: - can understand frequently used words and sentences; - can describe familiar topics, including family, studies, environment, plans etc. - can cope with simple everyday communicative situations; - can read short texts, if familiar with the topic. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
