Aim of the course: | The focus of the course is on the practical application of knowledge via team work using case studies and exercises | ||||||
Target group: | The course is directed to the staff of national Rescue Coordination Centers (RCC) | ||||||
Prerequisites: | Participants are requested to prepare 15-20 minute presentation about their national legislation on SAR. It should be done by a group work of participants from the same State. The Participants are expected to be familiar with the IAMSAR Manual vol 1-3. | ||||||
Topics: | Topics covered: Legislation; search planning and methods; management and leading of SAR operations; mass rescue operations; media relations and more. | ||||||
Study results: | By attending this course, key individuals will gain a thorough understanding of the role and procedure adapted in an RCC and provide a more confident input during SAR incidents. | ||||||
