| Aim of the course: | Aims are: • To describe the goals of automation and control systems design. • To give an overview about the possibilities and limitations of control. • To give an overview of complex systems control methods and their applications in design of reliable control systems. • To give an overview of artificial intelligence and machine learning methods for dynamic processes modelling and in development of control systems. • To show the structure of control systems and various instruments types. |
| Target group: | Designers with IT background who are interested to improve their knowledge and skills in the area of control systems and automation. |
| Prerequisites: | Bachelor degree in IT/ICT or in related engineering field. Motivation letter and interview. |
| Topics: | IAS0065 Control Instrumentation, 6 ECTS, Autumn IAS0031 Modeling and Identification, 6 ECTS, Spring IAS0023 Intelligent Control Systems*, 6 ECTS, Autumn *Prerequisite - Modeling and Identification (IAS0031) |
| Study results: | • Knows about main methods of modelling and control of complex systems, has an overview of practical applications of these methods; • Can select and connect the proper sensors and actuators to controllers; • Can use computer tools for control tasks. |
| Assessment criteria: | Kõik kolm õppeainet on positiivselt sooritatud. |
| Comments: | Mikrokraadikavale võetakse vastu 5 osalejat. Kandideerimistingimused: Bakalaureusekraad IT-s või sellega seotud inseneeria aladel, motivatsioonikiri ja vestlus. |
